About using/not using bash in the base system, I believe that Matt rightly pointed out, that this sort of thing is what the ports/packages systems (and DragonFly’s future replacement for them) are for. There’s no need to change the default shells in the base system as doing so does nothing to get DragonFly to where Matt wants it to be.
execline is OK but, I alread know PERL. Why should I switch? execline is small but, I dont’ work with embedded systems.
