DragonFly 1.8.1 will be released this weekend, so if you have something that you need added, speak up! This release will include the rtld fixes that enable parts of KDE to work again, among other things.

Off topic, but I’m just curious: are the google ads on the blog pay-per-view or pay-per-click? I’ve been reading via google reader lately and feeling bad that I might be depriving you of revenue.
Java Status should be notified, i think.
I would love to see better Intel SATA support (ICH7, ICH7M, ICH8)
Read in the way that you like best – it’s more important that it gets read and discussed than whether any income is derived from it.
I just stole your leaf.dragonflybsd.org/~justin/new-bsdusers/article.html
look at
wiki.dragonflybsd.org/index.cgi/QuickStartBSDUser
Does it need any changes for 1.8.1? I do not think so, but please check.
M.K. – the NATA kernel modifications are there, but not yet turned on. Enabling NATA would get you the disk support you want, I think – there should be a section on the wiki that talks about enabling NATA until it reaches release status.
Looking at CVSWeb ( dragonflybsd.org/cvsweb/src/libexec/rtld-elf/rtld.c ), we can see that the DragonFly_RELEASE_1_8 tag is for rev 1.26. Doesn’t that mean the rtld fixes (rev 1.27) aren’t currently included in 1.8.1?
Y.K. – Corecode added in the rtld fix to 1.8 just after you asked.
