XFCE 4.4 is available now in pkgsrc; it was in the wip/ branch until recently. If you want to contribute, you can test and package up the various available plugins for xfce.

I think Xfce is the best unix desktop, it looks cool and works fine (and fast). Tried 4.2 and 4.4 (I’m not much into unix desktops) and I liked it a lot, especially 4.4 with Thunar amd the terminal.
Should try that on DF, I probably will hack a test machine together if I get the time.
I tried XFCE 4.4 – it is nice, and I like the way they did things. However, I keep coming back to Windowmaker. It’s not featureful, but perhaps that’s why I like it.
