Blah. Discussions on freebsd-hackers make my eyes bleed. Honestly, the OpenBSD ML and the LKML are friendlier ;^)
I really don’t see how the DragonFly vkernel code and the related namespace cleanups are intrusive, as Kris claims. I can’t understand how such minimal namespace changes in a development version of FreeBSD (as presumably any porting of the vkernel framework would be done in 8.0-CURRENT) would be so detrimental to FreeBSD as a whole because it would make more work for third parties who maintain binary only modules…
