  1. I spoke with Dalibor Topic about OpenJDK at OSCON.

    It’s actually JDK 7, not 6, it’s all to do with the licensing.

    Landon Fuller has binaries available for Darwin[1], in fact , reading the original proposal email[2] it appears there are already patches for FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and MacOS X, the BSD porters project means the patches have been accepted by OpenJDK.
