DragonFly is the only BSD, I think, to switch fully to Git for version control, and Matthew Dillon wrote up how DragonFly uses Git.

A recent fork of netbsd called edgebsd is also using git. Bitrig, a fork of openbsd is also using github. But i thing they are much jounger than dragonfly.
