Long egg: it’s from a kids programme called programme with the mouse (original: Sendung mit der Maus) explaining how the endless boiled egg slices are manufactured which you get in restaurants. It opens with the guy wondering how on his plate are only perfectly shaped egg pieces without any end pieces…
Don’t see any connection with BSD though ;-)
