Connectivity issues for shiningsilence.com

I have reports from some people not being able to connect to the Digest, and others who can.  If you can’t, please mail me a traceroute.  I thought it was from me messing with pf, but perhaps not…

  1. FWIW, I couldn’t conncet to the Digest on Sunday (meaning no Lazy Sunday Reading, alas) but it works fine today.

  2. I couldn’t connect to the digest for the past few days :(

  4. We had to turn off TCP window scaling to connect in the past few days, this made it work again. So if anybody still has problems, you might try that.

  5. It would be good to know which settings caused the problem, because this is not the first time we see such a problem.

  6. os – I think the problem was a pf misconfiguration; removing all the settings I had added recently fixed the problem, though I don’t know why it was so spotty for who had it and who did not.
