Was that necessary for anything? I was already pissed by Debian making an `ls´ equivalent called `dir´.
I actually imported/adapted the code from FreeBSD. The change is minimal: poweroff is a hard link and less than 20 lines added to shutdown.c.
Linux has it, FreeBSD, NetBSD has it… There is no reason why DragonFly should not have it as this improves compatibility with the aforementioned systems and it does not require to be maintained over time.
