Mobile Skylake CPUs appear to have issues with power management and direct video rendering. There’s potential fixes on the horizon, but until then, be aware if you have that specific hardware and software mix.

Doesn’t this imply a licensing issue?
Wouldn’t even looking at GPL code, let alone copying it, be problematic for Dragonfly which is BSD licensed?
It would at least be useful to confirm if this is the issue we’re looking for.
The code can’t be used as-if anyway, the kernels are too different.
